Poor Shock Absorbers : How to take on Speed Brakers

I have been riding a gear-less scooter for couple of years.
These are the most selling vehicles now a days, as they are easy to handle in city traffic and gives storage space as well as comfortable driving.

As these scooters are mostly made for the city and short rides, they usually do not have very good suspension for rough roads (like our bikes have). And when I bought one I really found it's tough to hit any Speed Breaker.
But with time, understanding my vehicle, some research and experimenting I could find some right techniques.

So a simple technique to ride/drive when you run oven a speed breaker is "Always try to touch the breaker when you are on throttle/accelerator and not on brakes".

Sounds confusing :), here goes how.

When you use breaks you front shock absorbers will get compressed, and that condition is not good to hit speed breaker as they will not have more suspension left to face shock.
So when you see a speed breaker, try to slow down your vehicle a little before it, not just when you touch it.
Now as you have already slowed down before the breaker, we go for important part.
Just before touching the breaker, means when you are few inches or a feet to the breaker, accelerate your vehicle a little. Amount of acceleration totally depends on your vehicle but
it should be just a push, do not get in speed again.
This small push (acceleration) makes the front shock absorbers to come up to full height again. And so they are ready to take on the shock. And you will cross the breaker more smoothly then ever.

This appears difficult; but when you practice this technique, it will be your habit like other rules of driving. And once you are good in it, it will not only make your drive smooth, but you will even be able to go faster with any vehicle you drive/ride.
